Ekstrom-Carlson was one of the first to build CNC
Routers featuring the best performing spindle motors of their era. These high
speed routing spindle motors are now manufactured by Ekstrom-Carlson in
Rockford, Illinois, USA for machines built by our customers. All motors
are built to original design specifications for heavy industrial
applications. Featured, is the 5 HP, 18000 RPM Routermax with
ceramic angular contact bearings at the tool end and an ISO 30 taper or HSK 63F
taper for
automatic tool holding capability. Other horsepowers and sizes are
available upon request. We hope to offer a new line of HSK 63F
spindle motors for 5 HP, 10HP, and 15HP rated to 24000 RPM in the near future.

Drawbar is air activated (90psi). Used spindle
with very low hours. Was used for a short time
before being replaced with a 24,000RPM spindle.
Spindle runs like new, drawbar retention is

The spindle frame mount size is 8 3/8 inches

shaper motors. Special shaft extensions are normal with speeds
